We are seeking a skilled HVAC and Plumbing Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design of mechanical systems for diverse building types, including commercial, industrial, and military projects. The successful candidate will bring expertise in HVAC and Plumbing installations, working across all stages of the project lifecycle, from concept to delivery. This is a hands-on role for an experienced engineer who is passionate about building services and design excellence. Job expectations: A senior technical resource may serve as a technical advisor for the team, providing specialized expertise to support studies and design within their discipline. They develop procedures that enable high-quality, cost-effective work by others and participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables. Their responsibilities include evaluating the technical scope of work for each project, preparing construction cost estimates, and contributing their expertise to complete the discipline-related portions of the Plans, Specifications and Estimates. They also perform quality-control reviews of design calculations or drawings, prepare technical specification sections, and contribute to the development of engineering budgets and schedules to ensure project requirements are met. Here is what you will do: - Apply advanced technical expertise, industry knowledge, and professional judgment to execute and deliver complex project assignments within the area of specialization. - Perform heat-loss calculations and size and select heat emitters and the heating source considering the client's preferences and sustainability requirements. - Perform pressure-loss calculations, size and select HVAC and Plumbing equipment and components using technical software or standard engineering methods. - Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and methodologies, while developing new procedures when existing approaches are insufficient. - Prepare plans, sections, diagrams, schedules and detailed execution drawings as part of the project deliverables. - Prepare written project documentation such as design analyses, technical specifications, cost estimates and other required technical documents. - Coordinate closely with all relevant disciplines, including Architecture, Structural, Electrical and Fire Protection, to ensure fully integrated HVAC and Plumbing designs, resolve interdisciplinary conflicts, maintain alignment with overall project requirements and design intent. - Support client communication by defining project scope, gathering information necessary for execution, addressing feedback, and maintaining strong client relationships to expand future work opportunities. - Undertake assignments outside the core skill set to broaden expertise and pursue continuous learning of technological developments, industry trends, and competitive practices. - Provide mentorship, training, and structured guidance to develop the technical capabilities of team members. Qualifications Here’s what we’re looking for: - Bachelor’s degree in building services engineering. - Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in HVAC and Plumbing design. - Experience with Revit MEP. - Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Preferred: - Experience with calculation software (e.g., Linear, MagiCAD) - Familiarity with Common Data Environment platforms (e.g., BIM 360, ACC). - Knowledge of building systems installation methods and construction practices.
