Essential functions and responsibilities A Consultant at Deloitte will deliver components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology and creative business solutions for large companies.Responsibilities include, among others, managing and leading teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, building, developing, implementing, testing, training, defining support procedures. Qualifications Candidates are required to have: - 2+ years of relevant technology architecture consulting or industry experience. - Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years equivalent professional experience. - Strong programming skills and relevant experience, in Java / Java Enterprise Edition / Python/ Scala. Willingness to learn and ability to quickly pickup any programming languages. - Proficient with one or more Big Data real-time/streaming data integration technologies, such as Apache Storm / Spark / Flink / IBM InfoSphere Streams / Google Flow, etc. Ability to architect streaming flows which guarantee data persistence, silent failure recovery, persistence across processing steps, automatic re-processing in case of failure, etc. - Proficient with one or more Big Data ETL tools, such as Apache Flume, Sqoop, etc. - Proficient with other Big Data components (tools used in dash boarding, visualization components, etc.) - Proficient with databases in both single and distributed systems architectures, massive parallel processing architectures, SQL and NoSQL. Qualified candidates are also required to have ability in one or more of the following areas: - Development of statements of work and/or client proposals. - Lead workshops for client education. Travel flexibility - Willingness to work abroad in Europe for up to 6 months per year, typically Monday to Thursday/Friday.
