Job Description How you will make an impact? Article Process eXtended (APX) is replacing difficult manual steps over complex business processes (article listing and enrichment) with huge impact in operation, with an easy-to-use application that embeds the knowledge of an experienced master data specialist ensuring product and process data quality and builds the foundation towards standardization. Developed and maintained a microservices-based application built with Spring Boot 3 (Java 21), PostgreSQL, and Camunda Workflow, secured with Spring Security and exposed via REST APIs. The frontend is implemented in ReactJS with Redux, ensuring a seamless and scalable end-to-end architecture. Your Responsibilities: - Being a link between the engineers within your area and the architecture community; - Promoting and implementing the agreed standards, processes, and tools of METRO.digital within your area, while working towards improving them based on your experience and feedback; - Advising product owners and domain/unit owners on technical vision and strategy; - You are setting the foundation and enable development teams to use the power of Google Cloud and other Cloud Native technologies; - Being constantly on the lookout for new inspiration to improve the architecture in and beyond your area of responsibility. Qualifications Required key competencies and qualifications: - Proven experience in software development, cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)) and worked in a similar role; - Very good understanding of technology stack and design to recommend appropriate software architecture and solutions to complex business problems; - You are able to translate the impact of architecture and design choices on non-functional requirements like scalability, performance, availability and security; - Experience and knowledge of different types of databases; - You can discuss architecture principles and advocate them; - Being able to translate business requirements into technical frameworks; - A wide range of expertise that includes modern operations approaches (e.g. DevOps, SRE), API strategies, application monitoring, agile methodologies, software testing, Continuous Delivery, etc; - Very good fluency in English (written and verbal).
