Additional information

Signicat (http://signicat.com/) is a pan-European digital identity company that makes it easy and safe for organisations to know who they are interacting with online. Using our proprietary technology, we help companies and public organisations securely verify the identities of people and businesses, authenticate users, and enable compliant electronic document signing, so their customers can access services and complete online processes with confidence. Today, Signicat employs over 530 people across 20 offices in 15 European countries. We work with leading banks, fintechs, telcos, public authorities, healthcare providers, and enterprises across retail and mobility to deliver trusted digital identity and onboarding solutions at scale. Joining Signicat means contributing to a mission that has a real impact on how society works and trusting each other in an increasingly digital world. Help us build the future of digital identity At Signicat, trust doesn’t happen by accident, it’s designed. Our developer documentation is a critical part of how customers understand, integrate, and trust our products. Now, we’re looking for a DocOps engineer to help us take that experience even further. You’ll work on our documentation platform used by thousands of developers, helping ensure it is accessible, scalable, and a pleasure to use. If you enjoy turning complex information into clean, usable interfaces and want to grow alongside experienced designers and engineers, we’d love to hear from you. What you’ll do: As a DocOps engineer on the Documentation Platform, you will: - Develop, maintain, and improve our React-based documentation platform and its back- and front-end architecture. - Build and extend MDX-based components, with clear documentation and usage guidelines. - Implement new documentation workflows based on business needs and MDX standards. - Ensure high code quality through testing, validation, and performance considerations. - Collaborate closely with designers, technical writers, and engineers to ensure consistency and quality. - Work independently on tasks while supporting and unblocking others when needed. - Ensure compliance with internal guidelines, ISMS requirements, and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA). - Take part in our agile ways of working, aligning development efforts with product and business goals. - Engineer and help govern our design system component library, with a strong focus on accessibility, theming, and composability. What you bring: We’re looking for someone early in their engineering career who is excited to learn, grow, and build solid foundations. We don’t expect you to know everything, but we’re looking for a solid foundation and a willingness to learn. You likely have experience with: - Front-end technologies such as React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. - Documentation frameworks like Docusaurus and MDX. - Component-based development and reusable UI libraries. - Cloud technology and infrastructure management. - Versioning, package publishing, or CI/CD workflows (or curiosity to learn). - Accessibility basics, responsive design, and theming concepts. - Working cross-functionally and understanding how platform work enables other teams. - Thinking beyond code, considering users, maintainability, and long-term impact. Who you are: You’re not just focused on writing code, you care about how things fit together. - Structured: You bring clarity to complex systems and enjoy well-organised workflows. - Collaborative: You enjoy working with others and helping teammates succeed. - Autonomous: You take ownership of your work and move tasks forward independently. - Solution-driven and detail-oriented: You focus on solving problems in simple and creative ways but strive for stable, secure, and reusable solutions. - Curious and user-focused: You’re eager to learn and motivated by creating great user experiences. What we offer: - Your tech, your way: Choose the tech gear that aligns with your comfort and meets your preferences. - Hybrid work style: Collaborate with the team in the office several days a week and embrace the flexible work model. - Work-life balance: Enjoy an extra 5 paid days off annually, and we will celebrate your work anniversaries with additional days off to recognise and reward your milestones. - Bucharest: Work in our modern Bucharest office, located in the bustling city centre, just a 2-minute walk from the historic old town. With two parking lots onsite and recreational areas, including a gaming console and a variety of board games, our office offers a dynamic and enjoyable work environment. - Continuous growth: Quarterly development talks, a dedicated time during working hours each week for training and development, unlimited access to Udemy courses, defined career paths, and internal mentorship opportunities. - Customised onboarding: We will prepare an onboarding plan to ensure an easy and smooth beginning. - Be part of an international team: The opportunity to work from any other Signicat office for 2 months per year and 3 weeks per year from any European country. - Give back to the community: Option to use 16 hours of paid volunteer time each year to support a charity or cause you are passionate about. - Empowering feedback culture: By using employee engagement tools, we ensure that every voice is heard, empowering us to grow together.

Pre-apply checklist

Quickly verify the listing has the essentials so you can compare offers fairly.

  • Is the salary gross or net, and what period is it for?
  • Is it employee (CIM) or contractor (B2B/PFA/SRL)?
  • What does “remote/hybrid” mean in practice (office days, overlap)?
  • Is the scope and seniority level clear?

Flag missing or inconsistent details so the listing stays accurate.

How to evaluate this job (beyond the title)

A strong application is not just “I know the stack”. It’s proof you can deliver outcomes in this specific context: team setup, constraints, seniority expectations, and the way success is measured. Use this checklist to decide whether to apply and what to highlight.

Clarify scope and expectations

Many ads are intentionally broad. Your job is to identify the core responsibilities and whether they match your strengths today.

  • Look for ownership signals: “design”, “architecture”, “lead”, “on-call”, “mentoring”.
  • Check if the role is feature delivery vs platform/infra vs maintenance.
  • If the description is short, use company size + industry + stack to infer the likely day-to-day.

Validate work setup and collaboration

Remote/hybrid/office labels are not enough. The real constraints are overlap hours, office days, and communication style.

  • Confirm whether “remote” is worldwide/EU/Romania-only and whether overlap hours are required.
  • For hybrid roles, ask how many days per week and whether they are fixed or flexible.
  • Check language requirements and cross-team dependencies (product, design, stakeholders).

Compare compensation realistically

To compare two offers, normalize everything to the same baseline and contract type. If salary is undisclosed, build a range based on market and validate early.

  • Normalize gross vs net and month vs year before you compare.
  • For B2B, account for taxes, accounting, unpaid time off, and risk.
  • Use market data as a sanity check, then negotiate with evidence (impact, scope, seniority).
