This role is designed to support flexible working arrangements: - Bucharest-based candidates: Hybrid work model - Candidates based in other cities in Romania: Fully remote - International candidates: Applications are welcome; however, relocation to Romania is mandatory if selected. Visa sponsorship will be discussed and initiated after successful completion of the first interview stage. Here is what you will do: - System Design and Engineering:- Develop and implement designs for power system components, including substations, transformers or renewable projects. - Perform power system studies and analyses, including load flow, short circuit, arc-flash, stability, and reliability assessments. - Project Management: - Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of power system projects. - Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project completion. - Prepare cost estimates, project reports, and resource allocation plans. - System Analysis and Optimization: - Conduct power system modeling and simulations to identify and resolve potential issues. - Optimize system performance through the implementation of advanced technologies and best practices. - Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or modifications as needed. - Compliance and Standards: - Ensure all designs and projects comply with industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NERC), company policies, and regulatory requirements. - Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and industry best practices. - Documentation and Reporting: - Prepare technical documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and maintenance procedures. - Generate reports on project progress, system performance, and inspection outcomes. Qualifications Here’s what we’re looking for: - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering - Experience: 4+ years of experience in transmission line design, analysis, or construction. - Skills: - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Effective communication and teamwork abilities. - Strong understanding of electrical and structural principles related to transmission substations and network grid. Nice to have: - Prior experience in performing Grid Connection related (Digsilent, ETAP, PSSE/PSCAD/ Equivalent) dynamic or advanced power system studies is mandatory. - Experience in preparation of technical study reports for Renewable Energy Grid Connection works (Wind Farm / Solar PV / Hybrid / BESS / Other Equivalent) is desirable. - Experience in protection coordionation studies - Experience in working as technical expert in consultancy firm is desirable. - Exposure to International standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, Australian Standards and Middle East region codes and standards) is recommended. - Proficiency in engineering software tools (e.g., AutoCAD). This opportunity is open to candidates based in Bucharest (hybrid working model: 50% from the office and 50% from home), as well as candidates located in other cities in Romania (fully remote). We also welcome applications from candidates based in other countries; in this case, relocation to Bucharest is required to follow the hybrid working model, and visa and relocation support may be provided for suitable candidates.
