We are looking for a lead Lead UX Designer.

We offer a full-time position.

Additional information

You might be our missing piece if you have: - At least 5 years in UX, ideally with 1–2 years leading design team(s) and mentoring within delivery teams - A sharp eye for end-to-end UX thinking from user research and stakeholder interviews to flows, wireframes, prototypes, and dev-ready handoff, knowing when to go deep vs. lean - A natural drive to own the problem, not just the screens, where you’re excited to ask "why", push clarity, and ensure users and business needs are both met, challenging assumptions, and bringing clarity - Experience working in cross-functional teams with developers, product managers, and clients where you actively bridge business goals and user needs, and transform complexity in seamless experiences - Strong communication and facilitation skills: you're confident leading design workshops, client conversations, and critiques - The ability to mentor other designers, sharing methods, mindset, and constructive feedback, while building and monitoring growth through Personal Development Plans - A consultant's mindset: you don't just execute; you think in outcomes and help clients make smart decisions, and know when to push back or simplify - The ability to see design as a way to bring value, not just deliverables - The ability to self-manage and lead without hierarchy, knowing when to ask, when to decide, and how to move things forward in ambiguity - AI mindset to boost efficiency, experimenting with smarter ways of working, and staying ahead by exploring, testing and integrating emerging tools into your design practice - Excellent English skills - A sense of belonging when reading about our culture. We would be thrilled if you have: - Proven experience designing complex B2B products, and systems where logic, edge cases, and workflows matter, not just pretty eye candy apps - A solid foundation in usability heuristics, accessibility, and the ability to use these to evaluate and raise the quality of a solution - Experience defining design strategies, information architecture, and scalable patterns across digital ecosystems - Exposure to discovery-led environments and the confidence to shape the experience and product vision collaboratively with Product managers, Stakeholders and other key members - A natural instinct for mentorship, growth, and helping others reach the next level, aligned with the RebelDot high performance mentality. We will be working together on: - Leading UX design on client products, helping uncover root problems, translating them into product logic, and deliver validated, dev-ready solutions that drive value - Being the lead UX voice in your projects, ensuring design quality, elevating team understanding, and simplifying complexity through clear direction - Participating in client-facing workshops and strategy conversations together with the Product Manager, helping shape the problem before jumping into solutions - Working closely with PMs and developers to shape solutions that are technically feasible, strategically sound, and meaningful to users within the given deadline and constraints, not just polished visuals - Contributing to the evolution of our design culture, processes, and rituals Mentoring UX designers, supporting their development paths while learning from your peers - Contributing to the further advancement of internal processes, ways of working and initiatives that upskill, and contribute to RebelDot leading the line.

Pre-apply checklist

Quickly verify the listing has the essentials so you can compare offers fairly.

  • Is the salary gross or net, and what period is it for?
  • Is it employee (CIM) or contractor (B2B/PFA/SRL)?
  • What does “remote/hybrid” mean in practice (office days, overlap)?
  • Is the scope and seniority level clear?

Flag missing or inconsistent details so the listing stays accurate.

How to evaluate this job (beyond the title)

A strong application is not just “I know the stack”. It’s proof you can deliver outcomes in this specific context: team setup, constraints, seniority expectations, and the way success is measured. Use this checklist to decide whether to apply and what to highlight.

Clarify scope and expectations

Many ads are intentionally broad. Your job is to identify the core responsibilities and whether they match your strengths today.

  • Look for ownership signals: “design”, “architecture”, “lead”, “on-call”, “mentoring”.
  • Check if the role is feature delivery vs platform/infra vs maintenance.
  • If the description is short, use company size + industry + stack to infer the likely day-to-day.

Validate work setup and collaboration

Remote/hybrid/office labels are not enough. The real constraints are overlap hours, office days, and communication style.

  • Confirm whether “remote” is worldwide/EU/Romania-only and whether overlap hours are required.
  • For hybrid roles, ask how many days per week and whether they are fixed or flexible.
  • Check language requirements and cross-team dependencies (product, design, stakeholders).

Compare compensation realistically

To compare two offers, normalize everything to the same baseline and contract type. If salary is undisclosed, build a range based on market and validate early.

  • Normalize gross vs net and month vs year before you compare.
  • For B2B, account for taxes, accounting, unpaid time off, and risk.
  • Use market data as a sanity check, then negotiate with evidence (impact, scope, seniority).
