About the job: The role is responsible for designing, shaping, and overseeing the technical direction of complex projects across the organization. This includes ensuring architectural consistency, scalability, and quality while supporting business goals and cross-team initiatives. Projects can be a detailed technical pitch via an RFP participation in order to win the business of Tier 1 clients, an integration project in flight that involves multiple layers from EM’s product and a smaller scale but detailed solution to a complex feature business demands. The role combines strong technical leadership with collaboration across engineering and business stakeholders. What You'll get to do: - Design, architect, and oversee implementation of solutions, for: o Integration projects for Tier 1 clients that usually come with a multi-layer complexity due to involvement of many modules from several EveryMatrix products which are in scope o RFP projects where identifying and presenting the technical solution is critical to the bidding process and chances of winning o Any isolated feature for a project where the scope is complex enough that requires a methodical approach and deep understanding of the EM product in order to shape it to the requirements requested - Act as a technical driver across multiple initiatives, ensuring architectural consistency, scalability, and long-term maintainability - Translate complex business requirements into scalable, compliant, and technically sound architectures - Define architectural standards, best practices, reference models, governance principles, and operational guidelines - Define CI/CD expectations and contribute to engineering quality standards - Lead discovery and assessment phases, including architecture reviews, gap analysis, technical risk identification, solution scoping - Provide technical estimations and contribute to roadmap planning - Build Proofs of Concept (PoCs) when needed to validate approaches - Support pre-sale and partner discussions with technical expertise - Provide expert advisory on solution design - Performance tuning, Data modelling, Cost optimization - Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure high-quality implementation aligned with architectural decisions - Guide teams in building future-proof, scalable, and maintainable systems - Ensure technical decisions support both short-term delivery and long-term platform health - Work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders (Product, Business, Leadership) - Mentor engineers and support their professional development - Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and promote technical excellence - Act as a role model for engineering culture, ownership, and accountability - Support teams by providing guidance on complex technical challenges - Keeping up to date with the latest technologies and trends What You need to shine: - Minimum 3 years of experience in a Solution Architect/ Head of Engineering role - Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field - Proven experience within system integration projects, working with large volume data and complex systems - Experience with API design and implementation (JSON, WebSocket) - Good understanding of microservices architecture - Configuration of Content Delivery Network - Software development knowledge (.NET/ Java preferred) and database administration (SQL) - Good understanding of software infrastructure - Experience with Kafka and Cloud technologies (nice to have) - Fluency in English Here's what we offer: - Start with 22 days of annual leave, with 2 additional days added each year, up to 32 days by your fifth year with us. - Enjoy a flexible hybrid work schedule after your first three months with us. - Benefit from two Free Fridays each year, limited to one per quarter. - Daily catered lunch or monthly lunch allowance. - Private Medical Subscription. - Access online learning platforms like Udemy for Business and LinkedIn Learning, and a budget for external training. Cum evaluezi acest job (dincolo de titlu)

O aplicație bună nu înseamnă doar “știu stack-ul”. Înseamnă dovada că poți livra rezultate în contextul specific: setup-ul echipei, constrângeri, așteptări de senioritate și cum se măsoară succesul. Folosește checklist-ul ca să decizi dacă aplici și ce să evidențiezi.

Clarifică scope-ul și așteptările

  • Verifică dacă rolul este feature delivery vs platform/infra vs mentenanță.
  • Dacă descrierea e scurtă, folosește mărimea companiei + industrie + stack ca să deduci ziua de lucru tipică.

Validează tipul de lucru și colaborarea

Etichetele remote/hibrid/la birou nu sunt suficiente. Constrângerile reale sunt orele de overlap, zilele la birou și stilul de comunicare.

  • Confirmă dacă “remote” e global/UE/doar România și dacă sunt ore obligatorii de overlap.
  • Pentru hibrid, întreabă câte zile pe săptămână și dacă sunt fixe sau flexibile.
  • Verifică cerințele de limbă și dependențele cross-team (product, design, stakeholders).

Compară compensația realist

Ca să compari două oferte, normalizează totul pe același baseline și tip de contract. Dacă salariul nu e afișat, construiește un interval orientativ și validează devreme.

  • Normalizează brut vs net și lună vs an înainte să compari.
  • Pentru B2B, ia în calcul taxele, contabilitatea, zilele libere neplătite și riscul.
  • Folosește datele de piață ca “sanity check”, apoi negociază cu dovezi (impact, scope, senioritate).
