Primary Functions and Tasks: We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer with a strong track record of implementation of scalable backend systems for enterprise-grade solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep expertise in Python programming and its library ecosystem, have led end-to-end development efforts from design to Production implementation. While Azure Cloud and AI development experiences are not mandatory, academic or practical exposure to those skills will be an added advantage. Key Responsibilities Take development ownership of projects & associated tasks, breakdown of project tasks into smaller achievable goals and support the end-to-end software development process. - Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade backend solutions using Python app (REST API/Microservice/custom library), ensuring scalability (thousands of concurrent processing requests), security, and maintainability (GitHub repo versioning and management). - Implement advanced multithreading, multiprocessing, and asynchronous processing strategies to efficiently handle large volumes of data and batches. - Solid implementation experience of microservice architecture, migration from monolithic to containerized services (Docker/Kubernetes), implement caching (Redis/Memcached), error handling, circuit breakers, and most importantly build stable & reliable systems. - Integrate & use extensively Azure services, libs and APIs: Blob Storage, Cognitive Search, OpenAI, Storage, AD, Networking, Monitoring and implement robust SSO and token management (JWT/OAuth2). - Maintain code quality, we don’t want co-pilot generated code, we want simple, understandable and maintainable code. Follow agile practices (Scrum), guide colleagues in building, and collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders, as needed. Technical Skills - Must have, Python (preferably 3.x): expert-level proficiency, programming and debugging - Must have, API Design: RESTful APIs, endpoint & contract, async processing, caching, pagination, OpenAPI/Swagger documentation - Must have, SQL/NoSQL Database model and application design and management - Must have, GitHub versioning of code repository - Nice to have, Azure DevOps, CI/CD Education & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; 5-7+ years of hands-on Python backend development of demonstrable production-grade applications & systems.
